We stayed at a rad place close to Quinta Magnolia. It had sick gardens and sports facilities, perfect for chilling and having fun with the squad. The rooms were dope and hella clean, and the staff were super cool and helpful. We even got some sick tips on where to party from Marta. Would totally recommend it to all our party-loving peeps!
The only thing that could have made our stay even more lit would be if the hotel had a pool or a rooftop terrace. It would be dope to have a spot to hang out and soak up the sun with our crew.

I recently stayed at Quinta Mar & Sol for a week in Funchal. The small manor-house has a charming historical vibe, which was a refreshing change from the hotel-towers in the city. The location is perfect – close to the city and all necessary amenities, without being in a touristy area. The room was spacious, clean, and had a huge double-bed. There was even a little kitchen that all guests could use, and I enjoyed making myself plates full of fresh fruits from Madeira. The service was outstanding, with two kind and helpful ladies always available. The cost-benefit ratio of this place is excellent, and the morning breakfast of hot drinks, bread, and marmalade/butter was a great start to the day.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Quinta Mar & Sol are comfortable and cozy, perfect for a peaceful stay. The private bathrooms and cable TV in each room were just what I needed after a long day of work. I loved the WiFi access, it made it easy for me to catch up on emails and stay connected. The social lounge with a TV and computer was a great place to unwind and relax. Some rooms have beautiful views of the garden or city, adding a touch of serenity to my stay.
Personally, I found the seating area in some rooms a bit cramped, but others might find it cozy.

I truly enjoyed knowledgeable and attentive employees.
Was a refurbished and stylish place to stay next to bus stops and walkable distance to the old town, the Marina and the old town and Madeira in January 2015 for one day on a cruise. Its location was indeed perfect, in the city centre. Overall experience was pleasant...

The rooms at Quinta Mar & Sol are incredibly comfortable and cozy. I just loved the warm ambiance and relaxed atmosphere they provide. It felt like a home away from home for me.
Personally, I found the views of the garden or city from some of the rooms to be a bit underwhelming. But, hey, I guess some people might still appreciate the glimpse of nature or urban landscape.

I absolutely adored the charming and elegant decor of this hotel. The antique furniture, beautiful artwork, and soft lighting created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The common areas were well-maintained and provided comfortable seating for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated the easy accessibility throughout the hotel, with wide hallways and handrails for support.
I wish there were more assistance from the staff for senior guests.
